Is Fear Coming Up For YOU?

Presently, there is a prevading sense of anxiety and fear. There are a bunch of situations that could make you even more fearful than normal: the economy, people losing their houses left and right, the housing market and all the relationship issues these situations cause. Did I forget to mention the rising price of oil, the war, the repeated natural disasters, the decreasing value of the dollar and the election drawing near? You probably think you should do something but you don’t know what.

This is the perfect example of being fear-driven and circumstances maneuvered. You feel the fear and you are anxious but there is no clear course of action. Might you also be feeling alone and isolated?

This is a perfect example of trying to figure it out by yourself and feeling helpless. You might want to ask for a different perspective.

God is the only one who can raise you out of your circumstances and help you know there is a reality that supercedes your experience if you choose to hookup. The ego feeds on fear and isolation and will use every situation it can to stay in control and keep you separate.

This class ,Barbie and I, are doing a meditation on experiencing the Peace of God. Come with us and experience the reality that knows no fear and no separation where the realm of miracles is only a thought away. We can remember who we really are and we will find we are no longer limited by our circumstances. We are standing on new ground where the Peace, Love, Joy, and Abundance of our Creator abounds.

Come join Anna and Barbie as they enter into a deep state of meditation for the world. In today’s times of worry and fear, we often give power to our separateness. Here is an opportunity to go deeper and experience the presence of spirit leading us in prayer for ourselves as a whole. As we join together we have a positive affect on every thing we focus on.

Time and space do not matter. Prayer supercedes the limitations of this world and goes beyond what we think is possible, if we will simply commit ourselves to the process. Taking the time to join with us will not only affect those we pray for but ourselves as well. We raise our frequencies and that affects what we manifest in our lives. The highest of these frequences is to be at the state of peace ,joy, and love as we move through our days.

Steve Ryals is author of Drunk with Wonder: Awakening to the God Within. He went from homeless and shooting drugs in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district at 17 to graduating from UC Berkeley on the Dean’s List six years later.

In his interview with Anna, Steve talks about his personal story, one of moving through life’s typical passages, like the ‘summer of love’ of 1967 San Francisco, then work and marriage. Through it all, he had a gnawing sense of depression, alienation, and loneliness, which he tried to cover up with substance abuse.

After decades, he decided to throw off his numbness, and undertook a fearless spiritual quest. It led him into communion with his higher self, and a complete and radical inner makeover and his new book “Drunk with Wonder.”

Steve has now been free of alcohol for over seven years.

From 1994-2004, Steve was a free-lance music reviewer. He wrote and published over 1,200 reviews, hundreds of which are still available online

Workbook lesson 275
“God’s Healing Voice Protects all things today”.

It is as I “attend the Voice for God” today that all things are protected. Our teacher asks us to “join Him in hearing” today, b/c this Voice tells us things that we cannot understand alone or learn apart. And it’s what we hear together that protects all things today.
“Your healing Voice protects all things today, and so I leave all things to you. I need be anxious over nothing. For Your Voice will tell me what to do and where to go; to whom to speak and what to say to him, what thoughts to think, what words to give to the world…..”.

Listening for that Voice. Engaging It in conversation. Asking It questions and listening patiently. How interesting that it should be a voicethat protects all things. Our protection is being in communication with a voice that is ready to guide us in all things toward the good of all. I love the image of someone walking around with a tiny microphone in their ear, w/ a direct feed from their personal, cosmic assitant. How sweet to be in such close communications with a being who is so brilliant and so loving all at the same time. It’s like being in love every day. It’s this communication link, so to speak, that fills your days with miracles of love and healing. And how does one come to hear this Voice? This “Voice that protects all things” finds ways to speak to you. It is brilliant, remember, and loves you more than you will ever understand. So don’t underestimate It’s readiness, availability and power to be heard by you. This Voice protects all things in that you will never walk into any situation, no matter the size or complexity, that this Voice will not be there to guide your thoughts, and actions toward safety and peace. And its hard to feel lonely when you are in such powerful conversation with something that cares so deeply for you.

Sweet voice of God, speak to me today that I may be healed.

I would hear your thoughts guiding me onto the gracious paths of a gracious world.

I trust that you will tell me all I need to know and will give me the vision to understand.

You are my constant companion-I am safe.

Your loving voice is dependable-I can relax.

Workbook lesson 274 “Today Belongs to Love, Let Me not Fear”

My lesson for today is lesson 274 in the workbook:

“Today belongs to love, let me not fear”

I gave my day to love. I gave my day to God.

Who knew you could give a whole day to God. Have you ever wondered what God might do with one of your days? Every time I became afraid today, I gave my day back to Him. It was so easy to take it back to “work” on it on my own. My fears told me to take back control and manage my day even more tightly.

It’s funny to imagine God wanting to use one of my days. Funny that one of the things I cast away so nonchalantly, like my days, are the very thing God wants.

The Course tells us that we will need time and will have time, until the time when we give everything to God, all the time. This is what time is for; to learn that all we want is what love wants. There is no fear when something has been given to love.

“…Give this day to God, and there will be no fear today, because the day is given unto love”.

And what love did with my day was exactly what It said It would, It gave me the sense of confidence to let everything be exactly as it was. It was a deep release of pressure. To be able to trust that all things are happening exactly as they should, and to let each person be exactly as they are in that moment, made my day feel so effortless, as if I were being carried through it.

Thank you God for still wanting my days even after all the ways I have wasted them.

And so tonight I declare also that this relationship belongs to love, I will not fear.

And I declare that this body belongs to love, I will not fear.

And I choose that my life belongs to love, I will not fear!

I love you my mighty companions.

Daily Reflections on A Course in Miracles

Evening at home.

Rare aloneness.

But, oh, the presence there waiting.

It has always awaited me there in the stillness of any given moment.

And as long as it takes for me to return to it there,

It waits for me in an unspeakable patience.

My lesson today: “The stillness of the peace of God is mine”.

Mine. Peace is mine. And so is the stillness that accompanies it. I possess the stillness of peace just like I possess life, or a soul or consciousness. It’s an attribute in my general makeup. I rarely think of peace as an attribute already in me. I tend to concieve of peace as something to get and something to lose unexpectedly. And I certainly am not in the habit of turning to that peace as a problem solving technique. Peace as an answer seems funny to me. Saying, “The stillness of the Peace of God is mine”, is a problem solving technique that dismisses our disturbances and returns us to the peace that apparently, is just part of us.

And what of these “disturbances” this lesson speaks of?

They are my worries that something can rob me of peace; this “gift that God gave me”.

But if I can’t lose any gift god gave me, what need have I to fear something could rob me of peace?

And that’s why it is always there waiting me in the quiet of any given moment. I can’t lose it. It will always be there where God put it. In me.

Strange to think that all I need to do when disturbed by anything is to acknowledge that peace is mine and peace will be mine.

I am so grateful to you my mighty companions,
